Have you been sitting there thinking you have a liver whose job it is to neutralise harmful toxins, so all this ‘detox’ talk is marketing malarkey?
Let me explain.
When toxins are released from your cells, they move into the lymph, then blood, liver, colon and out.
Sounds great. But, modern life makes this problematic for 2 reasons:
1. We are exposed to more toxins than ever before. In our food, water, personal care products, cleaning products, furnishings, pollution…this adds way more work than your liver was meant to handle
2. We are more stressed than ever, we don’t move as much as we used to, don’t drink enough water, eat processed foods, drink stimulants…this shuts off proper digestion and elimination. We use anti-perspirants, don’t breathe deeply enough, all these lifestyle habits reduce proper elimination.
So? Well, toxins that can’t leave the body get reabsorbed 🤢, and fed back to your cells, that then package it up into pockets of fat to keep them away from your major organs.
This is why reducing the work load you place on your liver, matters. Help it do it’s job!
