Being clear on your WHY is the number one secret to your success in absolutely everything you set out to do in life, including your business. If you’re just in it for the money, then skip this post, it isn’t for you…or wait, actually it is, because it’s never really just about the money. Or just about wanting to be your own boss. Or spending more time with your kids.

WHY do you want the money. What will you do with it? What will it bring to your life – on a practical and personal level, what will it allow you to do, who will it allow you to be.

WHY do you want to be your own boss? What will this mean for your confidence, your creativity, what will this mean to your overall satisfaction in who you are as a person? Now that you can choose your own schedule, what will you do with your time, how will you decide to spend it, what will this mean for your quality of life, for the lifestyle you dream of?

WHY do you want to spend more time with your children (apart from the obvious)? What will it mean for your connection as a family, what will it mean to you as a woman, as a mother in terms of what you teach the next generation, what will this mean for your greater contribution in the world, what will it mean for your son that you are there to help him with his maths, or to your daughter that you don’t have to rush to drop her off at school in the morning but can take your time to be fully present to what she is sharing with you?

You see, being clear on your WHY brings you into connection with who you are as a person and what is most important to you. This brings you away from just going through the motions, it brings you out of default and into living life on purpose.
