Raw choco-mousse

Raw choco mousse Here is my Raw choco-mousse, a firm winner with guests (and me and my boyfriend!). I call it AC/CC chocolate mousse as my friend AC (I’m CC) was over for dinner one day and we didn’t have the right ingredients to hand to make Raw Lou Lou’s chocolate mousse for dessert so we improvised. This is what came out. It is DELICIOUS and soooo easy to make.

Raw choco-mousse

Go easy on the liquid when you start off so that you do not make it too liquidy, unless you have extra bananas to hand to thicken it again. This is a good one to try out on your own first…quite a few times…then a few more, before being absolutely certain that it tastes good enough to serve to guests ;)

Preparation Time 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 bananas
  • 2 tbsp raw cacao
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil or coconut water
  • Decoration (berries, coconut, mint...)

Cooking instructions

  1. Give the two medium sized bananas, raw cacao (or cacao powder without added sugar), coconut oil or coconut water if you have it (this is to add moisture so that you can form a mousse) a quick spin in the blender.
  2. Serve in a cute little glass or bowl and decorate with goji berries/fresh strawberries or other berries/coconut meat/mint. Serves 2 (small but sufficient portion, I think)
Actually, I did once try to make this with avocado and carob powder instead and it was a disaster. Neither AC (she was also over that time – I think she is my official choco-mousse taster), my boyfriend nor I could eat it. Seriously, we eat everything, it was that bad. No idea why. This is a fun one to make with kids as it is so easy. You can also add a little mint or cayenne pepper or even some orange juice (use it as the liquid element in the recipe) if you want to add a little je ne sais quoi to your choco mousse.
