Never again let fear or procrastination hold you back

Never again let fear or procrastination hold you backYou often find yourself in that place where you don’t think you know enough. You ‘just’ need to find the answer to this one thing and then it’ll all work.

And look, it’s easy for any of us to do that when we feel stuck. But let me ask you…

When was the last time you asked yourself what you or your business dream need?

Ugh I hear you groan. I’m tired of trying to figure it out, I just want someone who’s done it before to tell me what to do.

Fair enough. I also want to save time, energy, frustration and overwhelm.

I suggest a both/and approach. That means bringing on support once you know where you’re heading. That way you know you’re bringing on the right support.

And so where to find the courage to take that next step, to muster up the energy and confidence to clarify it and do what you need to do to get it out there (think of those faithful friends fear and procrastination)?

Here’s a story for you and at the end, the solution that I’ve seen work on my own journey and for my clients and colleagues time and time again:

One man decided to reach for his dream. But he didn’t have enough strength to do it. So he turned to his mother:
– Mother, help me!
– Darling, I would be glad to help you, but I don’t have it. And everything I have, I already gave to you…
He asked a wise man:
– Master, tell me, where can I get strength?
– It is said that, it is on the Everest. But I couldn’t find anything there, except the snowy winds. And when I came back, the time was irretrievably lost…
He asked the hermit:
– Holy Father, where to find the strength for realization of my dream?
– In your prayers, my son. And if your dream is false, you will understand it and find peace in your prayers…
The person asked everyone, but the only result of his searches was confusion.
– Why are you so confused? – asked an old man passing by.
– I have a dream, good man. But I don’t know where to find strength for its realization. I asked everyone, but there was no one who could help me.
– No one? – a light flashed in the old man’s eyes, – And did you ask yourself?
(One man decided to reach for his dream – author unknown)

And then this man asked me, Caroline…yes ask yourself, after all you’ve got to know what you want right? But the strength? That comes from taking action.

It’s not something you can think yourself into. You’ll be there forever with your clever brain finding one thing after another for you to analyze.

In words we all know just do it.
