Essential oil perfume recipes

Essential oils Being an all natural kinda gal, I make my own perfume (read why here). I’m also a busy gal and like to keep things simple. Making your own perfume using essential oils is really easy and really fast. Winner combo if you ask me. Essential oils have wonderful healing qualities for both mind and body, for example: easing anxiety and nausea, relieving headaches, clearing congestion and healing infections. Inhaled aromas (from delicious sweet smelling perfume, for example) have a therapeutic effect on the lungs and stimulate the brain to trigger a specific response. Essential oils are made from using different sections of plants to create an oil which carries the essence of a plant.  This essence or oil is extracted from flower petals, fruit rind, leaves, bark from trees by following very precise extraction methods to ensure that their qualities remain intact – which is why it’s important to buy good quality, natural oils. Here is my latest combination, which I have called ‘Soothe n de-stress the Eliza way‘. You can read all about how to make your own essential oil perfume here. Top note: Bergamot (useful against depression, stress, fear, infection) Middle note: Lavender (calming, effective against migraines, headaches, insomnia, nausea, pain) Bottom note: Jasmine (soothes nerves, encourages optimism, revitalises, this is a good one for childbirth too) Add a drop or two of Love. I really like the Jasmine in this one and the Lavender brings a subtle, soft undertone. I also tried: Top note: Bergamot Middle note: Ylang Ylang Bottom note: Rose …but I actually thought that this one smelt a bit too much of Rose for me. If you like Rose, then this would be a good one for you. I personally prefer to use Rose in my homemade creams and toner, but not in my perfume. Essential oil perfume
